Five things to know about Ross Maupin, creative director

1. Traveller

For the last 18 years, I have sought out all kinds of creative challenges on lots of brands.  I am passionate about product design, visual design, art direction and user experience design, and my favorite work allows me to bring all of these disciplines to bear. Some of the places I have worked include: Arnold, HUGE, Victoria's Secret, and Code & Theory. I’ve been fortunate to work on brands like Audi, Lincoln Motor Company, SiriusXM, Samsung, TD Ameritrade, Maybelline, JetBlue, Burger King, Chipotle, and Oakley.

2. Partner

From digital products, design systems, to TV and social campaigns, and the occasional first-to-market mobile app, I strive to be a true partner to clients and create work that delivers. Some recognition has been received by the likes of One Show, Webby's, and Clio's among others.

3. Advocate

When creating products and campaigns, consumers rule. Great work is always grounded in a human truth — an emerging behavior or an unmet need. As such, I believe in partnering with strategy, conducting ongoing user research and would prefer prototypes to comps every time.

4. Curator

With a philosophy inspired by equal parts David Ogilvy and RZA, I have have the pleasure of leading talented teams of all sizes and disciplines: art directors, writers, UX designers, creative directors, community managers, editors and the occasional developer too.

5. Archivist

Although my day job has led me down a distinctly digital path, much of my free time has been spent on a decidedly analog pursuit; searching out unknown and unheard soul records in forgotten corners of the world.
